Child safety standards

TOKME is a dating app intended for people aged 18 and over only. This document sets out the steps we take to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and how we handle reports and abusive content. We operate a zero tolerance policy towards any content or behaviour that exploits or endangers minors.
Report immediately. If you encounter a suspected minor on the service, content that exploits children, or any behaviour that endangers a minor, report it at once from inside the app through the profile or chat menu, or write to us at nisim@tokme.me. Child safety reports are handled at the highest priority.
1. Minimum age and its enforcement
TOKME may be used from age 18 only. Age is required at sign-up, and the system blocks any registration below 18 on the server, not only in the interface, in an independent check that cannot be bypassed from the app. An account found to belong to a minor is deleted permanently.
2. Prevention built into the product
The product architecture narrows the opportunity for harassment in advance:

| No messages without consent | You cannot message somebody who has not accepted. Every approach starts as one request and the receiving side chooses. There is no way to flood a person with messages. |
| Obscured location | The exact position is never revealed. Only a rounded distance and a general bearing are shown, so a user cannot be located physically. |
| Private photograph | A user can hide their photograph until a mutual match. |
| Immediate blocking | Blocking hides both sides from each other permanently and prevents any future approach. |
| Automatic content screening | Every image is checked before storage. Anything identified as abusive is refused and never stored at all. |
3. Reporting from inside the app
Every profile, every incoming request and every open chat carries a reporting mechanism. One of the report categories is suspected minor, intended explicitly for reporting a user who appears to be under 18. Other categories include inappropriate content, a fake profile, harassment and threats.
A report automatically and immediately blocks the reported user from the reporter, before the team has reviewed it. The person reporting does not have to wait for an outcome in order to be protected.
4. How reports are handled
Child safety reports are handled ahead of every other kind of report. Handling includes reviewing the reported account and, where something is found, immediate removal of the account and the content and retention of the evidence required for referral to the authorities.
All reports are collected in a dedicated administration queue showing every open report grouped by the account complained about, how many reports concern the same person, and the ability to suspend an account immediately.
5. Reporting to authorities
We report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and suspected exploitation of minors to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable law. In Israel, to the Israel Police. We cooperate with law enforcement on lawful requests concerning the safety of minors.
