WinMe: a dating competition you can play in one evening
Dating has a boredom problem that nobody discusses enough. The same screen, the same grid of photographs, the same first question. WinMe replaces that motion with something people already enjoy watching, and lets them play it instead.
What a competition looks like from inside
A host opens a competition and builds it: questions, video challenges, voice recording challenges, entry conditions for age and distance, and a schedule. A recorded answer can run up to two minutes.
Contestants join and answer. Until the final everybody is anonymous: no name, no profile photograph. What gets judged is what people answered, not how they look.
After each round comes a rose ceremony. The host hands out roses, and anybody who did not receive one leaves the competition.
The golden rose
Once per competition, and never in the first round, the host can award a golden rose. Whoever receives it is guaranteed a place in the final and cannot be removed by any later ceremony, not even by the host directly.
It changes the whole dynamic of the evening, because from that moment everybody knows one place in the final is already taken.
The final
In the final the profiles are revealed and a live five-minute video call takes place. At the end both sides choose whether it is a match. Nobody is obliged to anything, including whoever made it all the way.
A competition cancelled before it started refunds everybody in full.

Frequently asked questions
What does taking part cost?
Joining costs one credit from the contestant, and hosting costs two credits from the host. A competition cancelled before it started refunds everybody in full.
Do I need a profile photo?
Yes, one with a real person in it. It is not shown to anybody until the final, but it is required to enter, and that is what keeps empty accounts out.
Can the host remove me for no reason?
A host may remove a contestant, which is a power that has to exist so somebody behaving badly can be taken out. Removal for breaking the rules does not carry a refund. Anyone holding the golden rose is protected from removal.
How long does a competition last?
That is up to the host, who sets the number of rounds and the window for each challenge. A typical competition runs over a single evening.
